@sncrlynotsorry Absolutely disgusting behaviour by a police officer and to charge the man with obstruction is a clear abuse of power in my view!! The police officer should be charged with assault because that's definitely what it was.
⚠️ graphic footage of police brutality (might want to cover your screen for the first 20secs)
“Mistaken identity” is irrelevant. This was police brutality, and needs to be framed as that - and recognise that the victim clearly said he is disabled.
#acab isn’t just a hashtag
I'm so excited that I just can't hide it! Dylan Alcott's new employment website for people with disabilities. Please, if you are an employer, consider hiring through here https://t.co/QRxIiDjjLD. I want to see way more disabled librarians employed.
@DylanAlcott I'm an academic librarian with Griffith University. I've got MS and walk with a cane. It's certainly not perfect, but in the main I have been supported and I love my work.
@normanswan I so agree. My father died of pancreatic cancer last year and he was a big drinker. He had high blood pressure for many years. I'm sure it's all linked.
@ServicesGovAU Is your service not taking phone calls? I have tried twice to call the disability line to speak to someone about my employment income report only to be kicked off. I have made a mistake in my latest income report.
@ajtarbotton @greengecko29 I don't remember doing emails but I did use word processing software and statistical programs. I also learned how to do a bit of programming in Pascal.
@murpharoo@GrogsGamut Personally I don't like it at all. What I see is an egotistical, privileged, sexist white man who denies climate change. His views are archaic.
@kcrowe Yes, fortunately I live in Australia and we have universal healthcare. It's not perfect but it is better than most countries. I really feel for our US friends in this area. Frankly it's a bad system and has not served the American public well in this pandemic.
