Im actually surprised the news media is reporting this then...the last thing they want is a news story about a private gun owner stopping a crime and proving gun ownership works.

but then again, how'd a 16 year old boy get access to firearms?

Just so you guys know, I live in Bend and I was about 3 miles away from the actual event.

It’s been no report about who the shooter was or their motivation, and it’s most likely to protect the desires of the parents of the shooter, who are probably suffering right now that they missed seeing what happened to their child.

And the good Samaritan, who did prevent a shooting should be deemed a hero. This person prevented more lives from being taken before cops came in.

It’s understandable that we would be apprehensive and a little wary of the FBI and law-enforcement hiding information. They’ve not exactly had a stellar record in the past; however, that was then, and this is now

This is event that hit close to home, and I have a feeling I might have actually known some of the kids that might’ve been involved. Hell, I might’ve even known the shooter.

This is not a situation for rash decisions, or un fabricated accusations. This is a time for reflection. These children had family the shooter had family all the victims and the children affected have families let’s give them the respect that’s do and calm the heck down.

Don’t act like a bunch of hyenas circling a kill. You’re angry and frustrated, I get that but now is not the time for bloodlust. This is a time for regret and a time to look back and see what kind of society we’ve become that we allow a child to murder little children.
