@chovwenofuru I get that it's a fantasy show, but the books became so popular because they felt real and were well thought out. The last two seasons were just going for spectacle.

@CountDraculaDB Seriously though, do a deep dive into his life. Half of the people close to him wound up bat shit crazy or destitute or stuck in an asylum. He had a crippling fear of sea food and foreigners. His writing makes more sense in that context .
