Me: everyone who makes me angry deserves to suffer psychologically and physically and I daydream about ableist people getting their kneecaps removed

However these conditions are very, very real. They do not go away. There is no cure. You are only met with ableism from everyone. You have a choice to sit in that misery or to not. Your life is what you make of it, not what someone on Twitter has decided.

So much ableism discourse. You all need to realize you are one accident/illness away from using a cane or wheelchair. It could be lurking in your genetics and will hit you one day.

You need to be more comfortable with disabled people because you don’t have a choice

I’m disabled and I know so many disabled people I just cannot speak to because they view their life as over and not worth living, which is an infectious, ableist idea that is facilitated by both the able bodied and the disabled.

i do think it’s funny that in order to rationalize the massive increase in newly disabled/chronically ill people many are resorting to 1800s style hysteria accusations bc the other explanation, that covid is disabling millions, would collapse the narratives they’re clinging to

when i got my POTS diagnosis my neurologist told me that i should absolutely not get involved with online communities for it bc most of the people there were obsessed with being sick forever. and at the time i was like wow that’s fucked up huh but actually she was 1000% correct
