I have a belief.
Most families don’t argue in the morning because they’re unhealthy. They argue because they didn’t prepare the night before.
Shoes aren’t by the door. Backpacks aren’t packed. Lunches aren’t ready. No one knows where they’re supposed to be.
So 7:12 a.m. turns into chaos. And chaos turns into tension. It’s rarely about attitude. It’s usually about preparation.

The same thing happens with our week.
We don’t feel overwhelmed because life is impossible. We feel overwhelmed because we didn’t decide ahead of time what matters most.
So here’s my Saturday challenge.
Take 15 minutes and plan your week. Not just your meetings. Not just your deadlines. Your life.
Divide it into three categories.
1. Need to Do (This is foundation)
Time with God.
Time with your spouse.
Time with your kids.
Your workouts.
These are not optional add-ons. They are anchors. When these are steady, everything else is stronger. When these drift, pressure exposes it.
Schedule these first. Protect them like they matter. Because they do.
2. Have to Do (These are responsibilities)
Meetings.
Projects.
Travel.
Obligations.
The work that keeps everything moving.
Handle these with excellence. Be dependable. But don’t let them bully your priorities.
Just because something is urgent doesn’t mean it is ultimate.
3. Want to Do. (This is passion)
The dinner you’ve been meaning to plan.
The friend you need to call.
The book you want to read.
The walk that clears your head.
If you don’t schedule what fuels you, exhaustion will.

Most chaos isn’t accidental. It’s unplanned. A calm morning starts the night before. A strong week starts on Saturday.
Fifteen intentional minutes today can prevent five reactive days. Don’t let your week argue with you. Prepare it.

Best part of former-Ravens HC John Harbaugh’s farewell, is his Christ-centered message in the last paragraph:
“Finally, to the author and finisher of our faith, Gratitude for a Journey beyond anything I could have dreamed of on my own - All is well with my soul because of the Good God who guides and sustains me.”
Amen, coach 👏
