Botanic Ave. in Belfast looks amazing - now they’ve removed the on street parking, pedestrianised and planted mature trees.
Well done @belfastcc - visionary!

"We will have some more announcements under the Shared Island Initiative for a rail service to the north west but it is not as comprehensive as the Dublin-Belfast line, for example."

@eamonn_gormley All that applies to Dundonald House?
It’s hard to project 50-100 years into the future - and how these “iconic” buildings will be seen. I think we’d lose something if we simply demolished. They have merit and should be preserved/used - if they continue to be useable.

A motion passed by Clare County Council has called for making high-vis jackets mandatory for pedestrians and cyclists.
It has been criticised by the Irish Cycling Campaign, which said it would push some people back towards the car.

In an exclusive interview with the Irish News, @moneillsf says SF is open to amending climate change laws to build the A5
Also says the DUP should follow the example of King Charles on celebrating Irish culture, and SF is open to retaining Stormont in the event of Irish unity
@bradley_steve Here you go… ABC, Antrim, Ards, Belfast, Causeway, Derry, Fermanagh, Lisburn, M&E Antrim, Mid Ulster & Newry, aren’t serious about reducing car dependency because none have control over their transport infrastructure.
The Sailortown Bridge needs built NOW, not years after new homes, offices and jobs arrive around the Harbour Estate.
If Belfast is serious about reducing car dependency, walking and cycling infrastructure has to come first, not as an afterthought.
@CarlJWhyte@CllrSamNel@PhillipBrett21
e-bikes are "game changers".
Now if we could just expand the network to include docking stations at railway halts: Adelaide, City Hospital, and Sydenham for "last mile"...

Great to see Ride on Belfast is back on Fri 9th June. If you don’t have a bike, borrow a Belfast bike. The route is very flat and the slowest rider will not be left behind.
Always encouraging to see these critical mass events run through the city centre. https://t.co/YhtgqZfM8U
The extent of NI’s budget deficit is existential. @niexecutive is to blame due to refusing to take corrective decisions & wasting so much money over the years
Only solution is putting a plan to HMT to provide borrowing to fund sig rationalisation of a bloated public sector
