HEPA filters and respirator masks are important for more than just COVID
This also reminds me of how air pollution might also cause antibiotic resistance
I’m a proud southerner. It rips me apart how the american south is treated like a racist unsaveable wasteland. the south is full of queer people, poc, people who can’t leave due to funds. Please don’t forget the south in your activism, don’t leave southerns to suffer in silence.
@itsjacksonbbz Ive been reconsidering licensure as I sit with the awareness of psychotherapy being apart of an institution, a form of policing and at times, harmful. Using a western, colonial form of healing that has to be legitimized by the state feels…idk.
@frankenfemme_ THANK YOU. No one in the comments or quotes are saying that. Its sad how they are so unaware/uncaring of the dangers of what they are repeatedly getting infected with. also this puts like all drivers + pedestrians at risk.
Debating on discussing her comments with her and reestablishing expectations vs just moving on and doing supervision with a private practice. It'll be more expensive/more laborious but hopefully not ableist.
Today was supposed to be my first virtual clinical supervision day and it ended with her saying I’ll need to take off my “Covid-Mask”(N95) during our role-play sessions bc its supposed to be as if I'm “in the comfort of my own home doing Telehealth”. Well I'm not, I’m at work.
Regardless of what situation I am put in, I will continue to mask and protect myself (and those I love) but it’s annoying as fuck when general society expects you to act in accordance with what makes them comfortable. I will not die or be disabled even if the supervision is free
