I have done some self-reflection and really don't think teaching in a traditional setting is for me. If anyone has any connections in the conservation or wildlife realm that is either in Metro Detroit or remote, please let me know.
I specialize in human dimensions and wildlife crime, especially from a gendered perspective. I also have experience and enjoy science communication as well as copy editing. Thanks in advance!
The school shooting Tuesday was extremely close to home, and then a student brings a gun to a high school less than two miles from the school I teach at. School shootings really hit different when you're a teacher. I'm not okay today.
Teaching has been kicking my BUTT. If you or anyone you know has any experience and advice on teaching science to middle schoolers in an urban environment, I'm all ears 👂
Going to advertise myself- I am an M.S graduate that specializes in sociodemographic dimensions of public outreach and wildlife crime. I also have a strong background in justice and environmental ethics, as well as strong written and spoken communication skills. Are you hiring?
