NO women DO NOT have a high threshold to pain. This is gender essentialism. This is a toxic myth that makes women believe they should be able to bear more pain and not complain and they don’t. It is such a bizarre paradox where medical professionals believe that women can and should be able to bear pain and so not offered pain relief or sedatives during procedures, but also that women over-react and so when women say 8 on pain scale they assume it is prob around 3 or 4. No-win situation.
Stranger on bus: “Can I hold the handles of your wheelchair when the bus moves?”
Me: “There’s a grab bar on the bus to hold on.”
Stranger: “I’d prefer this (my chair handle).”
(Bus moves & stranger tips my chair backwards)
Grabbing a wheelchair without consent is dangerous.

I see no cold shoulder’s anywhere!! He looks relaxed talking to Anne and his cousins. The media coverage tomorrow will be that he was alone and snubbed I guarantee! -#GoodKingHarry#PrinceHarry
To celebrate the birth of Prince Archie 4 years ago today , @Disney created a special Winnie-the-Pooh animation as a gift for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. Prince Archie was celebrated by all , just beautiful. #HappyBirthdayArchie4#PrinceArchie4
As an autistic person who sometimes takes things literally, I’d like to say that - contrary to folklore - I never think cats & dogs are falling from the sky when someone says “it’s raining cats & dogs”. But, I may think someone intends to see me later if they say “see you later”.
We can’t measure tomorrow's approaches by yesterday's standards.
#CommunityPower is working, but making it mainstream means rethinking how the system measures success.

I stayed there for an hour & a half, just taking in experiences, understanding more about how the human condition has us seeing ourselves in things we watch and hear, & how, although what we go through is personal & unique, there is something that binds us through it all.
This weekend, I discovered a short film on YouTube. The premise, a young woman clings to a smooth, curved surface above a sentient abyss. Simple and scary.
Viewers had no idea how she got there nor why she was there. For the complete 9 minutes and 51 seconds, we didn't care.
