Ambassador Kush's visit comes as Israel remains under international scrutiny over the ongoing war in Gaza and tensions across the Middle East. The Philippines, however, continues to maintain diplomatic ties with Israel, a longtime partner in agriculture, technology, security, and labor cooperation.
