After 14 years of spouting opinions, news, and jokes, this account has reached its end. It feels morally repugnant to be generating “content” and “engagement" for Twitter under its current management.

Oh good gods, when I read about Rubiales' mother dramatically locking herself in a church and going on a "hunger strike" that ended a couple of hours later when she got dizzy, I assumed it was news from a satirical newspaper or something.
To recap: the RFEF posted a statement saying Jenni Hermoso had been "abducted" by her union and was fudging the truth, then deleted it; 11 members of the Spanish WNT coaching staff have tendered their resignation; and FIFA of all orgs stepped in and suspended Rubiales.
Did I miss anything else by sleeping the minimum amount of hours a human being needs for survival?
(oh yeah, the FIFA suspension also includes what's basically a restraining order to Rubiales not to contact Jenni)
The more time passes and nothing but silence comes from players I used to like, the more respect I lose for them. The list of cowards grows longer by the minute.
I wonder what all the male players who haven't said anything are thinking. That it has nothing to do with them? That it will never happen to them? That they can keep quiet and wait until it blows over and avoid making enemies?
