As noted in our Subs Guidelines since Mar. 17: BCS is not interested in stories with the "traditional elements of authorship," as US Copyright Office calls it, done by AI. Spell-check, grammar-check, and AI prompts that you then wrote your own story from are fine, but no... 1/2

So my friends are gone, the vision is murky, there is a storm coming and a no financial upside. What would you do? Would you sacrifice time with your kids over the holidays for vague assurances and the opportunity to make a rich person richer or would you take the out?
I'm sorry but if you are unreliable, I do NOT think you should be a narrator. Conveying trustworthy information is LITERALLY your job. If you are tragically lacking in self-knowledge or blinded by your own unwitting biases, maybe you are not the right person to tell the story
@Salerno_Thomas There’s a lot of value in enjoying the world you are creating! And of it makes the most sense for your plot, go for it! (That’s what I’m doing…)
Good news for my #NaNoWriMo goal: so far I’m just shy of 40k words in draft for November 🎉
Less good news: being a non-linear planster means project is now 110k words total across 5 books, because as it turns out, I #amwriting a trilogy in five parts. 🤷♀️

Sometimes the tooth fairy gets the notification too late for same night delivery and it has to go on the list for the following day. 🤷♀️
What can I say, even tooth fairies can have difficulties managing their paperwork and squeezing in a last minute addition to their schedule...
sometimes i'm like "what is wrong with millennial women" and then i remember how in the early 2000s special k tried to wipe us all out by telling us to replace breakfast and lunch with a cup of cereal and a splash of skim milk
I went from outlining 1 novel to a 3-part series of novels in a week. After wrestling with world-building for another month, I've thrown in the towel wrt trying to make the story fit in 3 books. In other words, f@%k everything, I'm doing 5 novels. #amwritingfantasy#amwriting
When initially outlining my planned singular (1) novel, it became a trilogy pretty quickly.
Now, just over a month and 90k words in draft later, it's going to be a trilogy in five parts, something that'll thrill my Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy loving dad.

@AuthorHopkins @JenniferDoede Yeah -- thanks! One of the first things I noticed when joining writing twt was warnings about this and I already had a look at the threads. (Thanks a lot for looking out for me! I really appreciate it.)
@MikaelaWillmer That sounds exactly like how I write and Scrivener is perfect for it! I cannot say enough good things about Scrivener for non linear writers — best tool for managing that chaos!
