The riots in France demonstrate once again how every time middle class Leftist intellectuals & idealists stoke upheaval in their naive revolutionary ideals, the end result is always that those individuals & ideologies with a innate propensity for violence & disorder, who were barely contained by the old system, immediately take over and unleash chaos & indiscriminate violence, even against them.
Then Leftists look on with horror how the cuddly revolution they invisioned devolves into destruction & bloodshed, because, once again, human nature has nothing to do with the books, pamphlets & ideological systems they are so invested in.
The end result is inevitably a society that is more authoritarian than the one before...
it always amazes me that people remain convinced that dramatic imagery of rioting will push politics in a progressive direction, when every single instance of it creates reactionary backlash. the 60s riots paved the path for Nixon!
The left represents chaos; the right represents order. We need both in healthy doses. Too much of either leads to anarchy or authoritarianism. Centrism is the way forward. Most humans are a mixture of left and right ideals. They just do not realise that. Stay away from hardcore ideologues. But when ideologues take centre stage, you cannot afford to sit on the sidelines and watch the tamasha. This is why I oppose CJP and these forces of chaos.
Like it or not, Indians have long looked to developed Western nations as exemplars of prosperity and law & order to be emulated, perhaps even improved upon.
Now there's no one to look up to. Except the fires.

A piece of France’s history, gone in seconds—The 143-year-old bell tower of Limoges Town Hall collapses in flames amid protest violence.
Built in 1883. Survived nearly a century and a half. Gone.
This is why I call kids stupid and this is why street protests are a fundamental no go zone. The rights doctrine extends to the protestor and forgets that the other side has equal rights and the trade off in conflicting rights has to be a specific zone where both sides remain satisfied.
@IndiaSpeaksPR He's not "desh ka dushman"...just a businessman throwing tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants.
What concerns me more was the Indian politicians supporting his rant...
Robert Pattinson is considering playing Alfred Pennyworth instead of Batman in THE BATMAN PART III.
“By the time the movie comes out, I’ll be 80. I’ve talked to Matt, and he agreed.”
Let us get inspired by Japan for its culture, America for its innovation, Germany for its engineering, Singapore for its discipline and Switzerland for its precision. Let us learn from the best in the world.
Yet, the irony is that some choose to be inspired by Bangladesh.
@ClosedDomain China is a dictatorship.
US is pretty dysfunctional right now, and some of that dysfunction has seeped into our system as well (by inspiration or by design).
