***PHYSICS TEACHING JOB***
Are you dreading going back to school this January? Would you like to join a department where staff wellbeing and workload is a top priority?
Here's a ๐งต of reasons why you should apply to work in my department!

@MarshallPhysics @phyphoxorg@isaacphysics@theUKESF@IOPTeaching Have you tried a FLIR or other IR camera with the chocolate? It's (one of the) same pattern observed on Chladni plates.
@miss_mcinerney@bennewmark@Soarpoints Well, quite. I don't have a way to prove this is definitely the case, but it does seem like it makes sense and fits with my experience of dealing with students with above-average absences.
@miss_mcinerney@bennewmark@Soarpoints Anecdotally, it has felt like some parents are normalising it. The response to absences feels far more casual, and they feel more justified in children being off school for more minor things, whether regular or not. No data to back this up, though.
Reddit Is Fun is dead. The official Reddit app is awful beyond belief. I am subscribed to over 100 subreddits; for every 3 posts of those, there is one promoted post and one algorithmically generated post. It means 40% of what I see is useless to me. How does this drive traffic?
@AhmedKhattabUK I'm not energised enough to do the maths properly but this looks like it means early babies get two extra terms of subsidised education?
