California’s public-sector unions aren’t just labor organizations, they a Lee the state’s strongest political machine.
The cycle is simple: more government → more government employees → more union dues → more political power → demands for even more government.
California taxpayers deserve better than a system that turns their money into political power.

City Journal: California’s Billion-Dollar Union Machine
Billions of taxpayer dollars wasted while Californians struggle with the cost of living. Sacramento should protect the money taxpayers already send before asking them to pay more.
RALLY TODAY:
Thousands are expected to protest at the CA State Capitol at 11 am against AB 2624, the "Stop Nick Shirley Act" that makes it illegal for citizen journalists to expose fraud.
I joined Newsmax to explain how we're taking our fight against this unconstitutional law to the courts!
$618,719 at an oceanfront resort. $434,096 for one union boss.
10 major California unions collect >$1 BILLION/year in dues.
Taxpayers fund salaries. Unions collect dues. Dues fund politics. The cycle repeats.

I care deeply about clean air, our environment, and the health and safety of the people I represent. But good intentions don’t always make good policy.
Sacramento has a problem with passing legislation far too often without thinking how it will impact the people and communities that have to live and carry the financial burden.
“These politicians who say they care about immigrants… are the ones who use and abuse the name of immigrants to commit the fraud. They’re the ones who use them to go out and commit all their dirty work and so they’re the ones who put the bad rap on immigrants.”
Independent journalist @nickshirleyy blasts Democrat politicians for enabling widespread fraud throughout immigrant communities—ultimately giving a bad reputation to the same communities they claim to stand up for.

🚨 BREAKING: Governor Newsom signs the “Stop Nick Shirley” Act (AB 2624)
The devil is in the details. Get the facts before you get gaslit.
Fact: The bill does not mention Nick Shirley by name.
Fact: AB 2624 creates new civil liability. Once a written demand is made, individuals can be sued for publicly posting personal information or images online.
Fact: This is NOT just a simple expansion of the traditional Safe at Home program.
Fact: The bill uses broad definitions. “Designated immigration support services facility” includes, but is not limited to, nonprofit offices, DOJ-recognized entities, community legal clinics, law offices, accredited representative sites, and health care facilities.
While the Governor and much of the media push the “simple expansion” talking point, they are leaving out the actual language in the bill. That is not an accident.

Save California.
The Machine is TERRIFIED. Steve just cut Becerra’s lead from 25 points to SINGLE DIGITS in weeks — California is waking up and the elites are scrambling.
Keep pushing, keep fighting, let’s finish this and take our state back!

Today, Assembly Republicans held a press conference calling on the Legislature to pause five bills until an independent analysis determines how much they could cost Californians.
MORE CENSORSHIP! CA Democrats continue to interrupt my remarks on the Assembly Floor when they don't like what I have to say. This time, they did it when I rose in opposition to AB 1923 - a massive sales tax hike. I didn't back down - WATCH:
California ranks the 2nd most dangerous state in the nation. Not because the laws don't exist, but because Bonta isn't enforcing them.
The same laws I enforced in Huntington Beach, one of the safest cities in the state, are available statewide. Day one, that changes.
Vote Michael Gates for Attorney General. #Gates4AG
On day one we cancel this failed high-speed rail project and put every dollar straight into a working-class tax cut—your first $150,000 tax-free.
That’s how we stop the waste and start delivering real relief for the people who actually live here.

In June we sent a bipartisan letter to Governor Newsom urging him to stop these costly regulations.
He embraced them instead.
Now consumers will see prices increase as tire supply is reduced by 70%, all so a few bureaucrats can justify their $200k annual salary.
Check out our Political Director, @Assenmacher4CA on with @mattgaetz discussing the LA public financing system that represents the culmination of decades of progressively expanding the amount of taxpayer money attached to candidates who are capable of raising funds on their own.
"This is essentially taking taxpayer money and subsidizing campaigns for people you're not supporting."
California Young Republicans Political Director @Assenmacher4CA sounds off on LA's "Supermatch Public Financing Program," which matches campaign donations 6-to-1 with taxpayer dollars — calling the expansion of public funding for these campaigns "UNACCEPTABLE."

We need to turn off the faucet to these candidates and stop using taxpayer money to subsidize campaigns that do not need it.
Thanks for having me on @mattgaetz
