[Cyrus Zhang @CyrusSI]

Hello SI

[Cyrus Zhang @CyrusSI]

The AI race may be moving beyond models.
Muse and Grok Bot point to a different contest: control of the interface between users and increasingly capable AI.
In the mobile era, users chose apps. In the agent era, they may simply state an intent, while the agent chooses the software, tools and services required to complete it.
Muse is positioning itself around the personal AI layer; Grok Bot around work, automation and reusable workflows. Bot rewards add another piece: an incentive for others to build on top of the platform.
As frontier models converge, the model itself may increasingly become infrastructure.
The scarcer assets could be distribution, workflows and ecosystem control.
Smartphones became the gateway to the mobile internet.
Agents may become the gateway to the AI internet.

Pro tips: Use Projects, Use Pstack

[Cyrus Zhang @CyrusSI]

Grok Bot ≠ Muse

Muse is Meta’s personal life assistant. One agent. Free to start. Email, calendar, bookings, shopping. US first. You can just talk to it in WhatsApp.
Grok Bot is xAI’s work teammate. A bunch of named bots sharing one cloud computer. Comes with SuperGrok or Cursor. Built for recurring workflows and team stuff.
Use Muse for your life. Use Grok Bot for work. Don’t mix the logins.
Who ships the real consumer version of this next?
OpenAI already has the computer-use chops. What’s missing is the “anyone can use this” product.
If Siri actually starts doing things across your phone, Apple’s distribution could crush it.

Built my first small agent with Muse — a daily morning news brief.
Not adding more features for now. I want to make the current workflow more reliable first.

@a16z This really hits home. I’m unemployed right now too, and I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about AI, work, and what to do next—but not enough time actually doing.
I’m trying to change that now: learn seriously, build small things, meet people, and plant a few seeds of my own.

I’m only starting to learn AI now. If AI really surpasses most human capabilities this soon, maybe the question isn’t how fast I can learn the tools—but what’s still worth learning underneath them.

[Cyrus Zhang @CyrusSI]

@olivvrszn I keep coming back to this: if AI replaces enough income, who buys what it produces?
I still think there’s a way through it—I just don’t know what it looks like yet.
Maybe the real challenge is how income, ownership and work adapt around AI.
