Great presentation from APTIM and @txcomptroller on SECO's new HOMES and HEARS program from federal IRA money. Program should be available this fall hopefully for energy efficiency rebates -
Great presentation at @ERCOT_ISO board from Pia Orrenius, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Biggest concerns? labor concerns due to less migration and immigration - cut by more than half from a year ago, inflation and federal cuts to safety programs.
Congrats to @RudyDGarza on his appointment as GM of @LCRA@texassierraclub looks forward to working with Garza and his team on both electric and water issues. Just don't forget that energy and water conservation is the first "conservative" principle! https://t.co/U6O86jauk9
Bad news? that item @TexasSierraClub went to @TPWDnews to support was withdrawn from the agenda on mountain lion kills. @GregAbbott_TX - know about this?

@austinenergy brought 3 contracts last week to City council on storage, wind and gas peakers. @TexasSierraClub and @SierraClubATX were for the first 2, but against the peaker contracts. Now we'll work to assure there are community protections. https://t.co/SVxDHkde13
Appreciate comments from Texas Legislators filed with @EPA against the proposed rollback of protections from ethylene oxide at commercial medical facilities. Here's a great one from @VikkiGoodwinTX calling on @epa to reject the rollback https://t.co/8YPJeLkRoH
Nearly 1/2 of people living in the U.S. reside in counties with failing grades for air pollution. @EPA spent the last year gutting protections to #CutMethane and other dangerous pollutants. W/out EPA’s help, it will get worse. Learn more: https://t.co/KR9IcAZdTS #StateOfTheAir
Riveting testimony today at the #SpecialInvestigativeCommittee on Floods - watch live here https://t.co/q6KXpK4Ub9. We can't change the past but we can pass better policy going forward @LoisKolkhorst@TexasSierraClub did submit some ideas https://t.co/Nn4NI6gUE5
On a very interesting call on the proposed @ERCOT_ISO batch process. I am beginning to understand why we need a batch process - they are overwhelmed by these requests that have come in droves since late 2024
@KingForTexas just announced there will be another hearing on data centers with opportunity for direct public testimony maybe later this month. Good news for 1000s of Texans concerned about large loads in their back yard!
