HARD TO WATCH—A disgruntled California resident called 911 to report that his neighbor, Jason Anglero-Wyrick, pointed a gun at him.
The neighbor recanted this report before deputies arrived on the scene, and deputies were aware of that per the discovery.
This video, which was recorded by his 15 year old daughter, shows Jason at his home with his arms raised above his head and his hands empty.
Sheriff’s Deputy Nikko Miller tazed him while Deputy Jeremy Jucutan set a K9 on him.
The K9, Vader, seemed to forget his training as he refused to release the home owner.
Jason Anglero-Wyrick was left with long-term leg injuries that still require physical therapy.
Jason sued for excessive force and was awarded $1.3m in damages and has since moved.
The deputies involved in Anglero-Wyrick’s case are still employed by the Sheriff’s Office.
No word on what happened with the K9, but I hope he’s on a nice farm somewhere, retired from police work. 😳
