It now appears likely that #S386 will be coming up for a vote on the Senate floor sometime tomorrow. This is NOT a UC vote. It is straight-up 60% vote, so if you think #NoS386 is the best outcome, you should be calling your Senator at 202-224-3121 today to oppose this bill.
@tim_cook If you are truly supporting immigrants, support @SenatorDurbin ‘s #ReliefAct. All #S386 does is to hurt non-Indian high-skilled immigrants. #S386 does NOT clear the backlog. It just shifts from India to ROW. #NoS386 YES to #ReliefAct
Word on the street is that #386 proponents, recognizing that the bill will NOT get unanimous consent in the Senate, are going to try to back door their disastrous idea, by getting supporters to attach #H1044 to the must-pass budget bill in the House. #GetReady
#NOS386 Bill will award GC to Indians only for decades to come. US education system will suffer most and obviously retaining Talents from all over the world in US will be IMPOSSIBLE with this bill passage #S386isunfair
@SenatorDurbin@SenDuckworth Sir, you are trying to keep international students in U.S. #s386 is totally against your goal. %82 of international students are not from India. S386 gives all GCs to Indians for +12yrs. Please say No to #s386
@SenatorDurbin@SenDuckworth Honorable, Senator. Please block S386, this bill is detrimental for Americans and 195+ countries' skilled immigrants. #NOS386
My fellow Americans- Senator Mike Lee will be bringing S.386 for a Unanimous Consent vote AGAIN, tomorrow. I ask you call your senators at their DC office & ask them to OBJECT. Bring this bill to a hearing! @kausmickey@michellemalkin@RyanGirdusky@JessicaV_CIS@AnnCoulter
At the end of the day, Waiting in lines stinks. It is not fair. It is not good for our country. And Congress should redress the issue directly. What Congress should NOT do is punish 194 countries in the world and exclude them from immigrating.
If you have not read the bill (#S386), you should. It's actually unintelligible to anyone other than Charlie O and a few immigration lawyers. I did my best to explain it on my last podcast, and that was me talking for 37 minutes without a break.

Looks like #S386 is going to get another vote without a hearing, and @senatorPerdueGA has lifted his hold. If true, this is a sad day for #immigration to America, if you are from 194 of the countries that you want to immigrate here, other than India. #DecadesOfWait
@hash_chat@senatorPerdueGA Actually, that's not true. I advocate for DACA recipients and TPS recipients who HAVE been here longer than you. Who were raised here, who have worked here for 20 years, who, with this bill, will NOT be able to get residence for another decade, during which they will have nada.
