Yep, having an absolute blast with it. The finished game feels so much better than the original demo. This is the closest to scratching the nostalgia itch outside of playing the originals. Love the new coat of paint and the QoL that helps bridge the gap for newer players.

I really want a Gothic 2 and 3 remake one day, hopefully this does well enough 👍

I can see that. This is being developed on PC as the main platform so it would make sense. If Helix can play PC Games then that’s most likely the answer. They probably want to develop as few versions as possible given they’re a PC dev first and foremost and the resources to make multiple versions over a planned decades plus is enormous for an MMO.

It’s Going to be interesting to see if they release the PS version at the same time or stagger that version like other MMO’s in the past.

@methos75 @THQNordic I’m speaking about the actual game and can only speak for the PC version which has been great . Console version clearly needed more time to cook and they def need to get you guys a patch asap. I’d be upset too.

Hopefully they get a patch out to you guys asap.

@Skillful__ @hakidu_Roi @geoffkeighley The gpu is from last gen though, roughly 2020/21 tech. It should not be that expensive. If it had a 9070 equivalent or higher than absolutely but this should be factored in.

What’s the deal with this one? I saw it has 90% on Steam with a couple thousand reviews , pretty good it seems.

I have all consoles and a gaming pc and for me personally that genre plays far better on PC. If you’re a console only gamer though, sure.
As much as I’ve tried since the Halo days ,
I just don’t enjoy playing shooters without a mouse and keyboard. I also can’t explain in words how much better playing those games feel with high refresh rates and higher FPS, moreso than any other genre.

@n00bywarrior @ballzrad @MizoChris Yes but we’re all just speculating here aren’t we ? We have no idea what contracts they have with AMD for the cpu/gpu timeframes. This can make or break the entire pricing structure, even with higher ram and ssd pricing which are the main culprits vs last November.

@BruiserWolf @xMBGx There’s also a lot of people who aren’t upset about playing a new female character but also aren’t as excited and maybe even disappointed because they want a new God of War game and play as Kratos.

There’s a legitimate conversation there without all the other culture war BS.

Interesting. I remember watching your stream last year and you were pretty unhappy with the direction of Sony’s choice in using almost all female characters vs male characters. I believe it was after the intergalactic reveal. Sounds like you’ve changed your tune since then? Or am I mis-remembering ?

@LuisAlaxander @ItsAperfectDork @yashmp2004 It’s why I’ve always loved having a gaming laptop. Work and game all on one device on the road. Not as fun to lug around but worth it for the gaming option.

Yeah it’s a shame the market is what it is. If this launched 2-3 years ago for 500+ bucks ? Big W. First real plug n play PC on their own OS that just works on a tv or use it as a mini PC.

Sad thing is , I don’t think we ever see hardware go back down or live to see the market as it was last year and it’s only going to get tougher for people.

@MacMarc6910 @MizoChris Yep. I think 700 is the absolute line for most people, with a minority that will pay a bit more.
