We can finally confirm that Discord is officially working on Badge Hiding.
You will be able to Hide Individual Badges or Rearrange them on your profile.
Normally we'd wait for proper UI to be ready, but this is something we know a lot of you have been waiting for.
Worldbuilding does wonders for OC content because it lets them exist beyond an abstract white void. When you place your character in a cohesive world it grounds them and lets them exist outside the scope of your own imagination, letting others speculate by the rules of your world
@d15c4rd@Bendedede@HomerFan1738 Dark amethyst, It is created by throwing a piece of amethyst into a fountain, which absorbs darkness; when placed on an object, it turns it into a Darkner, its only limitation.
It would mean that the Darkner receives an exaggerated amount of light.
@DavidBaszucki, I agree with the premise, but not the conclusion.
Play is one of humanity’s oldest tools for learning and connection.
The problem is that young adults already have nearly infinite passive play.
Games. Feeds. Dopamine loops. Systems built to consume their attention and money.
What they lack is a path from curiosity to specialization.
We make them spend years sampling broad requirements, then wonder why they reach adulthood without a craft they chose, practiced, and own.
Play should not be the opposite of work.
When the work fits the person, the work becomes play.
Building a game is play.
Studying physics is play.
Writing an engine is play.
Solving a real problem is play.
That kind of play compounds into skill, ownership, and purpose.
Build is meaningful if it turns players into builders with skills and ownership they can carry forward.
Removing friction matters.
Changing who owns the result matters more.
If the outcome is still more screen time, more spending, and more value captured by a closed platform, we have not solved the deeper problem.
Less brainrot.
More builders.
The world does not need more hours spent playing.
It needs more people doing work they enjoy enough to master, and work that matters enough to move humanity forward.
Play should lead somewhere.
It has to, otherwise we're just wasting precious time.
