This fall, intermediate classrooms utilizing FPC literacy curriculum will receive a collection of 200 independent reading books to supplement their classroom libraries! Through independent reading, students have daily opportunities to engage in all facets of the reading process.
Lake Louise students enjoyed a wonderful virtual presentation by bilingual illustrator Laura Reyes @nineseedtoast She showed students the process of creating illustrations--including demonstrations on how to draw emotions on the faces of the characters. #llhasheart@D15Schools

We loved practicing our high frequency words with a list from FPC’s Phonics and Word Study lessons! Students ran up to the board, said and erased their HFW. They had so much fun! @d15teachlearn
Tested out some FPC Word Study lessons in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades this week! Students participated in inquiry-based learning about clipped words, palindromes, spoonerisms and malapropisms! FPC Word Study is coming soon to D15 intermediate classrooms! @D15Schools@FountasPinnell
