Well OSSTF-D8 - this is it! Election Day in Ontario!! You CAN make a difference but not if you stay home. It's time to get out and vote. Let's get out there and make a difference to Education in Ontario!!
#OSSTF#onelxn25
The underfunding of education is negatively impacting Ontario. In 2024-2025, public schools receive $1,500 less per student than in 2018, when the Ford government took office. Recent #OSSTF contract negotiations resulted in arbitration. Time to elect a pro-education gov't in Ont.
In this election, it's important for OSSTF members to have their voices heard!
We know the future of Ontario's public education system is at stake in this election. We all need to VOTE in this election and vote to FIX public education.

This weekend, #OSSTF President @karenosstf spoke with the CBC about the election THIS THURSDAY!
Karen shared how under the PC's leadership, public education hasn't been properly funded, which has impacts across the system.
"It has had a massive impact where directors, superintendents, school board associations, everybody is speaking out. The students of the province are suffering because of these cuts."
Be sure to VOTE to FIX #OntEd in this election 🗳️ ▶️ https://t.co/oIdyRptBTH

JOINT STATEMENT: Investment in Education is the Foundation of a Thriving Society and Resilient Economy!
Organizations representing partners for publicly funded education have released a CRITICAL statement today, URGING the government and Ministry of Education to shift their perspective and recognize that investing in education yields substantial societal and economic long-term benefits.
Education is being underfunded, creating a serious staffing crisis in Ontario schools. The absence of qualified teachers, education workers, and administrators not only strains existing staff, but also compromises the quality of education our students receive. Education is not merely a service; it is a cornerstone of our society.
Teachers, principals/vice-principals, and education workers are dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to empower the next generation, and they deserve to be respected, valued and celebrated.
