Japan’s ZEALS has launched the D1 compact wheeled humanoid, priced from ¥5M, about $32,000.
They are targeting hospitals, care facilities, factories, warehouses and hotels.
Initial tasks include reception, patrol, guidance and transport, with dual-arm work planned later.
ZEALS calls D1 "quasi-domestic" it uses globally sourced components, while the AI, software, control, assembly and deployment are led in Japan. Major components are intended to be localised over time.
The company targets 100 units and 10,000 cumulative field hours during its FY2026.
