It was such a pleasure to have Dr. Clouse join us at the @TSVESofficial meeting and give the 2025 Cliff Buckley lecture! What a great talk on Dr. Buckley as well as the amazing work that Dr. Clouse has done in the field of open aortic surgery & tandem carotid lesion research! 👏🏼
The next Strandness Symposium will be February 22-25, 2026 at the Royal Sonesta Kauai Resort--the same venue where the Symposium was held several times in the 1990s! Looking forward to that aloha vibe. https://t.co/uN5YXIPlGR
It was enlightening to be in NYC @AVIDsymposium. George Berdejo puts on an outstanding vascular lab meeting, part of the annual #VEITHsymposium. Great education. Great discussion.

For fellowship, no. For residency, yes. What's really needed is a record of performance that demonstrates discipline, motivation, teamwork, and compassion. There are lots of ways that potential for success can be demonstrated (grades and tests are considerations).
Sad to see you moving on, but ecstatic to see you moving up! You are joining a great group with supportive surgical leadership. You will continue to thrive and will be loved by your Austin patients.

@gurriersband Freedom has never been free. Musicians and others exercising their “free speech” can only do so because our Constitution enshrines that right. Perhaps it’s best that those who see SXSW as a political rally stay home and leave participation to those who love music and fellowship.
Joe Mills, SVS President, helps open the 2024 Strandness Symposium with a great talk on high-risk morphologic features of carotid plaque. @StrandnessS @jmills1955
