@XRP2TheMoon_@bmac_22 There's fastball, changeup, dropball, riseball, curveball, drop-curve, screwball. And variations within those (i.e. circle change or knuckle change).
Like, a team source could be the GM. Or it could be a low-level assistant. Or a player. And how you view comments change based on the speaker's standing.
The issue with basing reports on "team sources" or other descriptions of anonymity is not that the sources aren't real; they almost certainly are. But the lack of detail about who is speaking robs the reader of the ability to contextualize, wonder if there's an axe to grind, etc.
On a losing streak? Yeah… we fixed that 🧢

@LogHanRatings Oddly enough, as a 6-2 and 3/4 person, I would always get rounded *down* to 6-2 for football so I would sound more stocky since I was skinny, and rounded up to 6-3 for basketball so they could make me seem taller.
Longtime Philly Mag writer Dan McQuade died on Wednesday. Here, his former editor Brian Howard explains how McQuade was one of the most gifted chroniclers of the Philadelphia experience.

The Dan McQuade news is incredibly sad. https://t.co/4fG45E45rU
Incredibly creative and funny writer, who captured Philadelphia's quirks better than anyone. And just a really good dude on top of all that. He will be missed.
For anyone keeping score at home, the Ravens' hiring of Jesse Minter (Mount St. Joseph) makes three former #d3fb players as current NFL head coaches, along with Nick Sirianni (Eagles/Mount Union) and Dan Quinn (Commanders/Salisbury State.)
One week since the #TransferPortal has closed, and I wanted to check this morning to see if any of the thousands of remaining football players had signed with a new school.
There are still 5,896 active transfers looking for a home.
FBS: 1,174 (20%)
FCS: 1,544 (26%)
D2/D3: 3,178 (54%)
The facts:
- 11,061 total players entered the portal this 2025-2026 cycle.
- 53%, over half, haven’t signed anywhere.
- Flip a coin. That’s your chance of finding a spot on a new team for this past cycle.

There also at least six coordinators who are former #d3fb players, plus two more who coached in D3. Depending on what happens with Todd Monken (Knox) and Brian Daboll (Rochester), that number could grow to 10.
I also count 7 NFL GMs with D3 roots.

Dave Canales (Panthers) played for Azusa Pacific from 1999-03; The Cougars went from #naiafb to #d2fb in 2011, shut down football in Dec. 2020, and are bringing it back as a #d3fb in 2026.
New Dolphins HC Jeff Hafley spent 2001 coaching RBs at WPI.
Transfer Portal Update:
There are 10,576 football players that have entered as of Wednesday morning. Of those 10.5K who jumped in, 6,846 are still active and looking for a new team.
There aren't 6,846 open scholarships much less roster spots in Division 1.
Be authentically yourself -- that's one thing we learned from this #d3fb season, and it worked well for the @UWRFFalcons. Keith McMillan has that and five more things in his column from Stagg Bowl 52. https://t.co/2ziKEJ7mcH @D3Keith
