I’ll give an American who recently lived in the UK. The Brits have extraordinary ability to endure pain and discomfort and not say anything about it. It is colloquially known as a “stiff upper lip”. And they take a lot of pride in it.
There is a reluctance to rock the boat.
There is white guilt in their history.
There is an alarming socialist/marxist thought.
They are led by a Marxist human rights lawyer.
Labour and the Tories are a uniparty. The other more institutional parties are even father left. Only recently has Reform and now Restore gained some popularity.
They would be horrified to be called racist.
There is an elitism that remains strong from their aristocratic and class driven history. The victims are in the working class and are seen as trash.
They do not have freedom of speech — in law or even practice. I would routinely speak to my Brit coworkers and they’d have to close the door to speak truthfully. Even then they were afraid.
The few people that do speak out the media and elites brand as “far” right. And immediately attempt to ostracize them.
All relatively good people.
But it’s bad there. Like dystopian bad. There are so few courageous ones left. I am a fan of their history and what they gave to the world. I wish for a more confident and strong UK
This is simply not true @Keir_Starmer.
You absolutely DO tolerate abhorrent scenes of violence like this attack. Just like you tolerate all the rapes and sexual assaults of women and girls by illegal migrants.
You - and most of the political class - decided long ago that these crimes are a price worth paying in return for achieving your multicultural, diverse, open bordered nirvana.
So don't pretend to be shocked and don't wring your hands in sadness. This is the predictable (and predicted) result of the policies YOU support.
Don’t let the beheading attempts overshadow the fact that mass migration degrades quality of life in a million other ways that don’t make it to the news.
@MittensOff@RobyPUFC No, I’ve seen a couple of individuals do it that’s all. However how is the fact that they’re draped in a flag make it different to all those kneeling for Georgie boy? I don’t agree with his point or maybe I just don’t understand it. Do you blame the same people for this?
@RobyPUFC@MittensOff what his point is Toby? It sounded to me as though he was blaming not only the far right (flag shaggers), but also the “knee-takers”and virtue signallers which are generally on the Left. Basically everyone but the actual perpetrators of the crimes being protested against.
Be prepared for Keir Starmer and most of Parliament being more concerned about how you react to the scenes in Belfast than the fact that an attempted beheading happened in a civilised, first world country.
Starmer is utterly deluded.
Here he is thrilled that the Unilever site in Warrington which closed with 140 job losses is being replaced by a 260,000 Data Centre …
which will employ about 40 people in total, many remotely.
Datacentres will NOT solve growing unemployment, they will only help increase it.
For every young British person hired since 2020, *27* young migrants from outside of Europe have entered the workforce.
It's completely mad to have so many people coming from abroad, while young people in Britain struggle to find opportunity.
The system is totally broken.
🚨 BREAKING: Multiple NHS services have been told to not detain psychotic African and Caribbean people to lower their "over representation."
Valdo Calocane was one of these psychotic Africans who staff refused to detain because of his race. He went on to murder Barnaby Webber, Grace O'Malley-Kumar and Ian Coates in Nottingham.
It truly beggars belief that there are folk out there still of a view that the mass immigration on the scale experienced in the Uk over the last 28 years, has been a positive for this Country. How do they rationalise it ? Anyone?
34-year-old Katie Fox, the woman stabbed in the neck in Birmingham last Friday, has now died in hospital.
Djeison Rafael has been charged with her murder.
This follows 19-year-old Lily Whitehouse being stabbed to death in Oldbury two days earlier.
Mohammed Azim was charged with her murder. He is allegedly the same Mohammed Azim who previously served an 11-year sentence for manslaughter, and sentenced to 16 years in prison for three rapes in 2013.
Every day, one of our wives, daughters, sisters, and mothers is murdered and raped by men who never needed to be here in the first place.
Enough. They have to go.
This was the parade held in PETERBOROUGH commemorating the birth of MUHAMMAD.
Escorted by smiling British police officers courtesy of the taxpayer.
Why are we allowing this?
I always find that this topic is where the left-wing mask of being the smart ones slips. Every single time it turns out they're misusing statistics in a way that would embarrass a smart 13 year old.
And so it is in this case. The report just compares deaths in custody (86 whites, 23 blacks, 5 asians) with their overall population proportions, and concludes that the police are somehow killing people in custody because they're black.
I mean it surely wouldn't even be hard to run a study controlling for the proportions actually being IN custody. I would presume that the reason they haven't is because it doesn't show anything.
This is what happens when people are taught what to think, not how to think.
At some point in her education, the Green Party lady was presumably told that immigration was a Good Thing, and now, faced, possibly for the first time, with an argument that it might not be 100% Good, rather than apply some critical thinking and come up with some counter-arguments, she simply can't handle it.
A thoughtful take by Tony Sewell. Most people just want fairness. The job of the police is to catch criminals and prevent crime not to address historic social harms
One of the things I think that's getting lost in the current "two tier" discussions is the growing perception that the police are more interested in culture than crime...
So five armed officers go to arrest a comedian getting off a plane (one of the few places you can be confident your "suspect" won't be armed)
Heavy handed responses to what people write on X rather than dealing with violent shoplifting
People getting shorter sentences for the worst crimes against children than for "hate" speech
Allowing pro Palestinian marches to go through Jewish communities but restricting Reform marches
Then we have politicians agitating about the "far right" when for the most part it's people saying r@pe gangs should be properly investigated and illegal immigrants shouldn't get a better standard of living with luxury hotels and same day dental care than British citizens do
Until @UKLabour recognises the real anger is because people increasingly feel the criminal justice system and so many aspects of the way the state interacts with them has become essentially unfair the anger will grow
It doesn't need stoking. People aren't angry because @Nigel_Farage told them to be. They are angry because the state isn't working and when they complain, the government essentially calls them Nazis
