@SynthPotato Personally I have tried to play 7, 8, 9, 4 remake and 2 remake because I always hear how great they are. But I just can't find any satisfaction in playing them, they are objectively really good but I can't enjoy a game when I'm stressed and scared all the time.
@FarezDrive @topskillsportuk What are you on? They have already massively overachieved. Its a small town in northern Norway, I promise you they are happy with just being in the CL, and even happier with knocking Inter out.
@Charlen_92@norfair846@nib95_ Look, I got a 4080 PC with a 4k screen, but you can't tell me this on a 10 watt handheld thin as an ipad isn't impressive? I love my switch 2.
@markgoldbridge While I do agree that he is not a problem or a bad player. I think people have hyped him up to much, he is good at running at defenders and taking players on but he lacks a good end product, his crossing also needs work.
@KrisKD829692@UnitedStandMUFC No i think you misunderstand me, he is a good player that has potential to be a really great player. This isn't reactionary, I think his end product has always been a weakness that he should work on.
@bethTmufc I don't know... I actually feel like he really struggled today. I can accept it though because he probably is rusty from no game time. I hope he starts improving himself because he haven't been good for a long time imo. Actually think Ugarte was better than him today.
PLEASE consider this: The Glazers and Ineos are responsible for entering a PL season with this squad.
⚽️How good is this squad? One way to look at it is this: Of the players on the pitch today, who would stand out for a West Ham in a relegation battle?
🔺Lammens? Wouldn’t start for WH.
🔺Dorgu? Wouldn’t start for WH.
🔺Shaw? Over 30, injury riddled. Would play but not stand out.
🔺MDL? Warrior, but wouldn’t stand out for WH.
🔺Yoro? In 3-4 years he might stand out for anyone, but not top top today.
🔺Maz? Class, but it’s not like there is a world of difference between AWB and Maz.
🔺Casemiro? No.
🔺Bruno? 100%. Pros and cons as a player, but world class at what he does best.
🔺Mount? No. Injury riddled and out of form.
🔺Amad? Good WH player, but so was Kudos. Nothing spectacular for a bottom PL team.
🔺Mbuemo? 100%.
🔺Zirkzee? Out of form, would be a mid WH player who could put it together after 3-4 years. Bought from Bologna for 30m.
2 of 12.
But they spent millions?? So what, Chelsea has spent €1,740m the last four years and we have spent €950m according to Transfermarkt. Guess what, it shows.
Transfer fees are misleading. We have almost exclusively signed low wage players. United’s wage bill is less than half of City and Liverpool’s. Guess what, it shows.
And again — let’s look at the XI we played with tonight. This is de facto what we paid for these players:
Lammens — £16m
Dorgu — £24m
Shaw — £32m (2014)
MDL — £36m
Yoro — £54m — but it’s for the future
Maz — £12m
Dalot — £16m
Casemiro — Glazer/Murtough madness
Bruno — £52m world class player
Amad — £16m
Mbuemo — £60m well spent
Zirkzee — £34m
Total: £352m excluding Casemiro who is done (what, 405m with him)
Sure, money isn’t everything. It’s no guarantee. But over time, nobody is punching above its weight class financially for any longer period.
This is — NOT — to take any blame from Amorim. But we wouldn’t be close to being top 5 with Frank or Areola or Pochettino or Carrick or MacKenna (as long as we didn’t go on some Cinderella run, which never would last in the long run).
