@taobanker Hannibal was such a great performance. His experience in ballet shows with how intentional and smoothly he moves, perfect for the meticulous serial killer vibe lol.
Agree with your point, idk why the CFO would walk. Just commenting that the PA in the name doesn't look like a market that thinks it was super impactful news.
Could be 1 of 2 things: either there was very little deal premium priced in to begin with and so the news didn't change anything, or (2) there might be more to the picture.
Also seems really strange to organize financing and have it carry specific terms + attempt to syndicate it if there weren't good odds on a deal. Wouldn't Irth have to pay fees the longer the credit stays uncommitted?
$PZZA
Had to bring up this name. Lots of news recently, from financing terms being set to corporate shakeups and exec replacements. Overall the language in the change - that they'll commence a search for a permanent guy - reads as standalone/deal dead (+ the failure of the supermajority clause removal at the last shareholder meeting).
BUUUUT, the options chain is still significantly skewed on the call side and honestly, that PA doesn't look like the market thinks it's dead...With how many leaks this name has had, I'd expect a deal to be accompanied by a volume burst.
Have my alerts on and ready to slam if conditions show up!
$ITGR
Also in the med device space but deserves a special post. Insane chart with a slow grind up - been pretty easy playing the ranges on this bad boy for a bit now. Consistent strength and thin volume. If anyone bigger shows up, this name can get moving.
Also in the midst of a strategic review. Only pure-play, publicly listed CDMO. Attracted interest in the 110s a while back - there was talk of them starting this review after significant interest.
This is probably worth the pot shot of a takeout, but at the very least the grind up has been rewarding. Will continue adding each time we hit the bottom of the uptrend (roughly that red EMA).
$IHI $MDT $ABT $BAX $DVA
Favorite looking sector by a long shot. Been absolutely destroyed the last few years but these charts are really shaping up. Names like $DVA have really sent it from the lows last year.
Only caveat here is these names are moving into ERs. I think what I'll do is pick up positions in the names I like and sell some CCs into ER. Bad numbers give me a cushion then, and good numbers give me an exit I can be happy with. Overall, looking for a move to the 200 in $IHI.
Very partial to $BAX and $ABT as individual names to play. I'm sure there are other good ones but these are the 2 that stood out to me.
$SBH $WRBY $BBWI
Also a sector seeing strength recently. These are my 3 favorite at the moment.
$SBH looks ready to send another leg up - will probably slam some commons Monday with <13.5 as a stop.
$WRBY consolidating right at the top of range - might not be ready yet but looks like it wants to go. Just watching for now.
$BBWI chart not as interesting, but someone slammed almost 1m into 7/17 24c down like 50%. If this shows strength into the week or we see an add into the name, probably worth a slam.
$BB
With $NOK going, seems like $BB (and maybe more in the sector) is following. Bringing up $BB since it's one of the momo names recently that still has an intact uptrend. Also has seen sporadic flow into the 15s out to August.
Don't have as high confidence on this name but have alerts set around the 10.7ish area to play a continuation of trend.
$AVEX $AVAV
$AVEX saw some super weird flow into the 7/17 30s (50% OTM). That's funky but also a muddy signal. Don't like the contract count on the position, and not a fan of how the option chain is weirdly skewed on the call side - though I don't understand how a vol curve looks for a newer name.
Either way this name has had some crazy strength off the 19.5 area but gets shafted >21 - that EMA really pressing down on it. I already grabbed some at 19.5ish but traded through into the Thursday pump. Will keep an eye on it to grab again sub-19.7. If we get a close over this EMA (21ish), I'll look to play the full follow-through strength. Worth noting other drone names are also picking up a bid.
$UBER
This one is probably the least interesting because it has the most shallow thesis - Pelosi stock pick. Interesting to see that this name hasn't really participated in the market rallies of the last few years.
Looking back at the chain, seems Pelosi opened a position in 200x 3/19/2027 50c @ 26ish. With that fill, these should be about flat/slightly green today.
Honestly, I think we'll see a dip below 70 and even down to the 65 area before this catches a bid. Lots of followers on the Pelosi copytrade. Set alerts at 65 - if we get there, I'll grab some of those 3/19s to see how they play out. Can always come back to this name if the dip doesn't happen and the chart starts shaping up.
$RPD
Haven't posted about this name in a while but glad to finally see it recovering a bit after getting demolished in the AI SaaSpocalypse.
Seeing some crazy strength in other VM names ($QLYS, $TENB) that's now slowly bleeding over into $RPD it seems. Lots of management changes (much needed) and aligned incentives among execs. Excited to see what the numbers look like next ER. As long as it's not a dumpster fire, we can probably close this gap soon. Hopefully I can see cost basis again this year, but that may be wishing for too much haha.
$AAP $AZO
$AAP looks like it's getting ready to break out of this area. It's taking its time but strength is showing up in $AZO as well, getting over the lower EMAs. This can line up with the weird oil market we're in where oil is cheap but oil-based products are in tight supply.
Either way this looks like it needs more time to cook, but I have alerts in the mid 50s for opening a pos using that 200 as a rough stop. Also have alerts up and over 63 if I can play the breakout itself (if it happens first).
$GFL
Saw some super curious flow come through Friday on the 7/17 40s. Turns out they were targeting a Bloomberg rumor about the name exploring a take-private after PE interest. Name was up about 7% in Canada on Friday.
Got me thinking about the waste sector. Took a look at a few of the leading names - seeing some constructive charts. ERs are also coming up; strength in the earlier reporters' numbers could be a good opportunity to STO puts or grab shares. Either way, adding these to the watchlist to grab positions on a pullback or consolidation.
