Visibility is everything on X, there's something you are unknowingly doing that's getting you visibly filtered.

Yep — most people get shadowbanned/visibly filtered on X without realizing it, which is because X won’t actually tell you. It’s not one switch. It’s a combo of visibility filters X calls "limiting post visibility" or "deboosting".

Here are the unknowing things that trigger it in 2026:

1. Your behavior looks "bot-like" to X
Even if you are real, these patterns trip the algorithm:
- Tweeting too much (like a thief): 100-300+ tweets/day is risky
- Copy-paste replies: Spam-like or repetitive tweets get flagged
- Aggressive follow/unfollow: Doing it in bursts looks like automation
- Overusing hashtags: More than 2-3 per tweet can hurt reach

2. Your login/network looks sketchy
X heavily weights "account environment" now. These trigger repeat shadow bans even with clean content:
- Frequent IP switching — logging in from different countries/VPNs constantly
- Shared network — multiple accounts on the same WiFi/proxy
- Abused proxy IPs — cheap proxies that X already flagged.

X wants stable, consistent IPs per account.

3. Content + quality signals.

- Search/ranking hits — tweets excluded from search, trends, For You.

How to know if it’s happening
You won’t get a notification. Look for:
- 50%+ drop in impressions overnight
- Zero new followers despite posting
- Your tweets don’t show in hashtag searches when logged out
- Replies are hidden from threads

How to fix things
1. Pause aggressive activity for 48-72 hours. No mass follows, no spam.
2. Stabilize your login: 1 device, 1 consistent IP
3. Clean up: Delete tweets with banned hashtags, stop copy-paste replies.
4. Rebuild trust: Post original content, engage authentically
