I think Liquidity is getting squeezed from two sides - RBI's BG collateral norms (50% collateral, 25% cash, no bank funding for prop trades) since April, and now CAS's auction-based close since Aug 3.
Higher costs, less execution certainty. Tough stretch for options traders.

CAS was introduced to solve a pricing problem. It has revealed a participation problem.

Proprietary traders are ~40% of cash market turnover, and most of it is intraday, closed out before 3:15 PM.

Since selling into the auction largely requires already owning the stock, the day's largest source of liquidity has little or nothing to sell.

Not the easiest week to start. SEBI's new CAS rule kicked in and it's changed how closing prices get set on F&O stocks. Premiums have been swinging way more than usual, and it's messing with everyone's setups.

Taking a leaf from F&O, there should be minimum criteria to be allowed to smoke.

At least 20L health cover
Minimum lung capacity
No Asthma, COPD
Able to run 10km, 100 push ups, hold plank for 15 mins
Should have climbed one of the 15 highest peaks in the world without oxygen 🙃
