#OTD one year ago, we left #Afghanistan. I had no idea what this photo could mean to people to fellow Veterans when I took it. The evacuation was a whirlwind of fear, anger, and sadness, but I am proud to have been alongside the men and women who bravely evacuated 124k people.
One year ago. This is a candid photo of competence, confidence, and a sliver of desperation. 120,000 evacuees - that was not a miracle, but a combination of actions from those that invested the most. Some gave all. @KleisnerTeddy @AA_ATW @SGM_Tommy_P_G4
