@Jonnyreay The sensationalism is all over football nowadays. Nobody is allowed steady progress, they're all either ballin' or are in crisis.
It's all really stupid and tiring
@Jonnyreay@cufcdeano Imagine if we'd actually stumped up £300k for him and he then turned that level of effort in.
He's clearly talented but there's a really important shout that - at least against better teams - what others like Wearne give is far more helpful overall
@OldGilles Played down the pits a year or two back against a team who had a lag playing, who's in the youth squad at Blackpool.
He was levels above everyone else, but of course he was. Aside from fitness and speed, playing 2/3 days a week (at least) must do your technique some good.
@OldGilles We never go anywhere that doesn't have the pumpkins / decorations outside, even if there are lights on. And we see plenty doing the same.
Obviously if you're in a new build estate you're getting way more knocks than you would if you live in the middle of nowhere!
@OldGilles We knocked on one of our neighbours last. They didn't have anything outside showing that they were inviting visitors, but they love our kids so we gave them a go.
They hadn't had a single person all night, so handed over a full box of Heroes.
@DaytrippingRed@Danny_McMoomins They know it's bollocks and people hate it, which is why they don't use a hashtag or call it by it's name.
If they did, we'd all mute it and they'd lose their exposure.
@joncolman Fair play to absolutely anybody making that journey on a Tuesday night when we're the worst team in the football league (having been the worst team in the league above the year before).
Astonishing levels of support, once again.
