@gregbradyTO Getting exemptions is actually EASY. You can get them for "conscience" and religious reasons. Have to notify your PHU, they make you watch a video, fill out a form and have it signed by a commissioner of affidavits and submit it to the PHU and school.

It's a common misconception that they're mandatory. You can object due to religious or "conscience". All you need is to do let your PHU know, watch a video, fill out a form and have it signed by a commissioner for taking affidavit s.

@EShouldice @imgrund @moniquebeech I'm a teacher living & working in Durham Region. Registration for us opened up at 9pm on a Monday, site crashed at 9:05pm. I woke up at 430am Tuesday morning and the first available appointment was 12 days later.

@calphonso School social workers in the DDSB are being vaccinated next week. And community partners that have contracts to provide Child & Youth Counsellors & Social Workers to DDSB programs/classrooms were vaccinated this week.

@TeachRandom As usual it likely comes down to money...durung strike days, the province doesn't pay employees on strike, but in this case employees are being paid while schools are closed.
