Good time to build the software that houses, connects, and makes sense of organizational data. There, I think, will still be a place for this. Value an agent can’t spin up on the fly is modeling complex institutional needs. It may still end up being consumed by agents, but is it really an effective use of agents to try to give you a solution on-the-fly for that sort of thing? At some point I think not.
At least in the medium term. In other words you want your software to be what the agents derive the on the fly value from. Software that gives agents the foundation for whatever the user is trying to see/do for the user.
@_chaotix its more like if you discovered that the burger was generated by a computer to be extremely similar to a normal burger minus some qualms about quality or taste
As a programmer, I definitely sympathize with the feelings, and I get that it’s not exactly the same.
But I do not sympathize and feel some animosity toward the attitude that mathematicians have to OK the progress disrupting their industry, much as it has disrupted mine.
Again, not the same, but I’m just not going to give any credence to anything I consider “anti-reality”
Not in the interest of arguing for “super intelligence” change, but really I have to point out that change for the Spanish language was actually so nonsensical that the very wokest people I knew in Colombia not only didn’t say it but would say things like “yeah that’s just never going to work” lol unbelievable swing/miss by people who don’t even speak Spanish 😂
@QuiveringNUT@CartoonsHateHer Can you clarify to me what you're trying to say and how it pertains to what I said, I'm honestly not sure
like, I'm not confused about the thing you're mentioning or how it could relate to the topic overall, but I'm not really seeing what you're trying to say
@NEETzscheIDDQD in the sense that consumers should know whether or not a human made a video game with AI I really don't care either way, but there is the sense in which somebody can post fake things masquerading as real things, in which case I think AI requirement is a genuine reasoned argument
If you have it all figured out just come out with it instead of being wrong and then demanding I go further into your own argument for you.
I’m open minded, maybe I’m wrong that European countries imports of Russian oil themselves are particularly significant. Maybe you can explain that perfectly. If you do, I’ll learn something.
I still won’t think that degrading energy production in the west isn’t a factor in how volatile our energy prices are though.
You’re being so aloof. I really genuinely don’t get it. I said I’m not an expert. If you’re an expert, why are you coming at me with a very smug incorrect clapback and then when I show you that’s incorrect, acting like you knew all along or something and actually you were going to say something else.
Im sorry, im not going to do this, even if you come up with a really spicy retort, I don’t want to have this bad faith conversation
I think you have a fair enough POV but your original response was orthogonal to my own POV
I think Trump is obviously responsible for that. I maintain that the west collectively has put itself in a terrible position and without having a whole other disagreement, I don’t think the war is some ridiculous stupid choice. So from that POV it matters very much that the position for maximal carnage had voluntarily been entered into by degrading energy self reliance in the west.
I’m happy for you to have you’re own take
Im not claiming on any level that that is not the case. I am saying that Russia invading Ukraine and the war in Iran would less greatly affect these lines if collectively the west was producing more of their own energy.
You want to have a simpler conversation where I’m saying something else and you are right and I am wrong. But what I actually said was that
1. When the west collectively de-energizes it leaves us susceptible to larger instability when something happens
2. I believe (and you’re allowed to disagree obviously) that a conflict with Iran was eventually inevitable or otherwise they would be able to be even more disruptive (no matter what you think, they already can disrupt global oil supplies obviously, and they are fanatically against the interests of the west.
Really I get it if you don’t support it, but I’m allowed to have my own logically consistent POV and I didn’t claim what you’re arguing against imo
I don't understand this discourse.
Yes, two adults can consent to almost anything and its legal. There are exceptions, which are defined by law (right?).
Are we questioning the principle of liberalism here because we are worried adults will choose to do things they shouldn't choose to do...
because that IS conservative, specifically paternalism
