HIGH COURT has awarded tech entrepreneur Ndiang’ui Kinyagia Sh5 million over violations of his rights during the 2025 raid on his Kinoo home, and barred the police and DPP from prosecuting him using the unconstitutional investigative process.

Kinyagia had been linked to the viral June 25 protest timetable, which started with prayers, praise and worship, a moment of silence for those killed during the 2024 anti Finance Bill protests and speeches by bereaved parents, before listing running battles with police and gatherings at major Nairobi roundabouts.

The timetable then proposed a march to State House at 1pm, lowering the UDA presidential standard, raising the Kenyan flag, declaring a new republic and swearing in a transition council, with investigators later treating the post as a serious security matter.

The court ruling now means the State cannot simply rely on an investigative process found to have violated his constitutional rights when seeking to prosecute him over that episode.

stated David Kiarie Njoroge, Chairman of the Road Safety Association of Kenya (RSAK), exposing deep-seated corruption within the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA).

He further revealed that the management deliberately deleted the records of the ill-fated vehicle from their official system immediately after the crash to cover up the oversight.

On Sunday, April 19, I told Citizen TV’s Sunday Live that I would not have signed the Government-to-Government (G2G) oil deal and called for the agreement to be made public.

President Yoweri Museveni has now revealed that Uganda was buying fuel through middlemen in Kenya and paying significantly higher premiums, raising serious questions about an arrangement presented as Government-to-Government.

Kenyans deserve transparency and accountability.

The G2G agreement must be published in full. The role of the middlemen must be disclosed and scrutinized. And the National Oil Corporation of Kenya (NOCK) must be restored to its proper role in securing supply and helping stabilize our fuel market.

When public money is involved, secrecy cannot be the policy. Kenyans deserve to know who benefited, at what cost, and why.

JKUAT says Kimilili MP Didmus Wekesa Barasa was never its student, his name does not appear in its alumni records, and the purported engineering certificate is not genuine.

But honestly, this is bigger than Didmus.

We have had questions around the academic papers of several public figures for years, with some cases never getting clear answers.

And it doesn't stop at politics. There are people holding jobs in counties, schools and public institutions whose qualifications have been questioned or allegedly obtained through backdoors.

That is the real problem.

If we don't fix the culture of fake papers, forged credentials and shortcuts, we can keep changing leaders forever, but incompetence will remain.

A country cannot build competence on counterfeit credentials.
