💡"Education can't actually keep up pace with innovation… the needs of the workforce are changing faster than what we've designed with our education system" - @AmbSuzi on shaping education as a lifelong experience for career development #WFGM23
When they take away education for girls, it’s because they know that: « Education is the only unassailable tool—none can take that from you! » Zoya Lytvyn, Founder, Osvitoria

"We cannot be innovators, we are tackling a bigger challenge… access to education. 30% of schools in Ukraine don't work at all due to the crisis and this is alarming" underlines Zoya Lytvyn, Founder of Osvitoria

@ProcterGamble@ZurielOduwole We can all agree that we need more young women like them! Building confidence and leadership skills in young girls is crucial for empowering them to speak up for themselves and their rights. Grateful to work for @Rworkshops , an organization dedicated to this mission!
It’s crucial to listen to and engage young women in decision-making processes regarding issues that directly impact them. By 'young,' I don't mean the typical twenty-somethings we often see at 'young people' events. #WD2023
The participation of these girls (20, 17, 15 yo) on @ProcterGamble 's panel shows the importance of giving the mic to the right people to express how they want support. @ZurielOduwole said: 'Wouldn't you want other girls to do better than I am doing?' How do you say no to that?
Madam @mukayitete shared the following:
1) One cannot consider oneself a human rights defender/activist while engaging in any form of discrimination.
2) La luta continua. To reach our goals, we require: Collective efforts, and inclusion of young people in this vital work.
"On Inclusion: During the #WD2023 event organized by @KvinnaKvinnaINT , Madam Donathile, ED for @RUB2018, highlighted the importance of respecting Rwandan women not solely based on stereotypes like beauty, dancing skills, or farming abilities.
Hon. Juliana emphasized on the need for a seat at the table, stating, 'If you're not at the table, you could be the menu.' We must strive for increased female representation in high-level positions and grassroots levels to bring about a shift in community mindset.

the "what were you wearing" exhibit has been recreated a number of times but the message is always the same: rape will happen no matter what a person is wearing. the only person to blame is the rapist.

@aline_bellarich @mhinganzima @alice_kanyana Let's refer to them as sex workers instead of prostitutes. Thank you.
Consider examining whether they dehumanized themselves or if it's your perception, and the men you speak of. This makes you/them think you have the moral high ground, to blame them for injustices they face.
@aline_bellarich @mhinganzima @alice_kanyana Do we dehumanize them or anyone else doing such work? Think about this again… put it at scale… and when you’re done, you will realize that most of us would be according to you not « human enough » …including the possibility that you yourself might fall into that group.
@aline_bellarich @mhinganzima @alice_kanyana To clarify, are you suggesting that individuals who sell services using their body parts or engage in what you refer to as selling "love" are essentially engaging in human trafficking?
And if we follow your logic, what would you say caregivers—say daycare staff, are selling?
We extend our deepest appreciation to @RwandaYouth for being our valuable partner since 2019! Through this partnership, we are able to train 1000+ young people each year, and we are committed to continuing to make a positive impact on even more young people in the years to come.
