Why do hospitals and school boards have to balance their books, but Doug Ford's government doesn't?
After 8 long years, Ontario's debt is nearing half a trillion dollars. Yet this government is telling hospitals already dealing with overcrowding, staffing shortages, and burnout to find more "creative" savings.
You don't balance a budget by making it harder to see a doctor or by asking exhausted frontline workers to do more with less. You do it by making smart investments that strengthen our hospitals, our communities, and the services families rely on. #onpoli
Ford government decides Ontaians do not have the right to know what is being cut from our hospitals.
Ford has demanded a 3 year plan for cuts but refuses a freedom of information request to know what is being cut.
What is this government hiding?
Under Ford:
🔻38 emergency rooms face permanent or temporary closures,
🔻 Emergency wait times are up 67%,
🔻 2.5 million Ontarians do not have a family doctor

A 45-minute flight to Kingston.
A planned flight to London.
Here’s how Premier Doug Ford has been skipping the 401 commute and flying to announcements in Ontario instead.
All billed to taxpayers.

Tina Yazdani reported Ford owes $190K in additional cost for Ford's $30M gravy plane & won't reimburse the taxpayers after PC MPPs were given carte blanche as early as 2022 & told book hotels "screw over taxpayers" & keep it all in “the family.”
Doug Ford spent a week calling these hotel stays "unacceptable." Now we know his own government told their MPPs, in writing, to book them.
He wasn't shocked. He was caught. The rot starts at the top, and Ontarians still haven't seen a single penny repaid.
Doug Ford wants everyone else to be “more vocal” about Trump.
Don’t be fooled by Doug Ford’s “Captain Canada” act. While he’s chasing headlines about Trump to distract from his own scandals, he’s ignoring his job as Premier of Ontario and hoping Ontarians forget his government’s failures here at home.
Let’s not forget what happened the last time he tried to lead Canada’s response.
When the Prime Minister asked him to pull Ontario’s $75 million U.S. ad campaign after President Trump cited it in suspending trade talks, Ford refused and kept it running. #onpoli

NEW: A second internal email reveals the PC party gave its MPPs permission to bill taxpayers for hotel rooms as early as 2022.
MPPs were told to keep it in “the strictest of confidences.”

On Friday, Stan Cho said he "did not stop to ask how it would look to a person in my riding working a double shift."
Today we learned it wasn't just $16,000 in hotels. It was nearly $100,000 more in steak dinners, Blue Jays suites and limousines, billed to his riding association, every receipt filed as a "meeting."
He never stopped.
This is the culture Doug Ford built. A Premier who wanted a $30 million private jet for himself has no standard to hold his ministers to, and they know it.
The people funding all of this are working the double shifts Stan Cho only mentions on the way out the door.
To everyone who has supported the PC Party with their donation or their vote: you gave them your trust and your money. They spent both on themselves.
You deserve better. I hope I can earn your trust to deliver an NDP government that respects taxpayers and makes your life more affordable.
NEW: we’re learning more about the cost of “Protect Ontario” ads to taxpayers.
FOI records show the cost for just one ministry to produce & run them last year was nearly $10 million.
The total the Ford government has spent across all ministries is expected to be much higher.
As Sylvia Jones closed public operating rooms, Jones allocated “unprecedented” public heathcare dollars to private surgical clinics. In 2023 Ontarians paid 3× more $4,037 for knee arthroscopy surgery at Don Mills for-profit vs $1,273 in a public hospital.
The corruption of Doug Ford, a timeline:
1. Negligence during covid which caused many seniors to die due to inadequate care.
2. Billions of $ missing of covid relief funds.
3. Greenbelt scandal
4. Closing the Science Ctr by lying about the safety of it's structure.
5. Skills development fund. $Millions meant for job training being given to his buddies, like strip club owners.
6. Secret cell phone records and his refusal by the courts to have access to them.
7. Changing Freedom of Information laws to exempt him and his cabinet from any accountability.
8. Purchase of Private jet with zero public consultations.
My fellow Ontarians, can I please count on you to show up for the next election and vote this corrupt Premier out?
Ontario doesn’t need to “wait until the next election” to speak up.
People are angry for a reason.
Doug Ford’s Ontario has become a province of scandals, secrecy, privatization, and broken public trust.
The Greenbelt scandal. The Ontario Place/Therme spa deal. The Science Centre fiasco. The private jet controversy. The RCMP investigation.
And now attacks on transparency itself.
This government weakened public access to information and transparency protections, making it harder for journalists and the public to hold politicians accountable. Democracy depends on openness not secrecy.
Meanwhile:
🏥 Public health care is being privatized while ERs close and hallway medicine worsens. 📚 Public education is overcrowded and underfunded. 🏠 Housing is unaffordable while homelessness explodes. 💊 ODSP recipients are being left in poverty. 👩⚕️ Nurses, teachers, and frontline workers are burned out and ignored. 🛣 Developers and insiders keep getting special treatment.
Ontario deserves leadership that puts people before political insiders, developers, and backroom deals.
Enough is enough.

When Dalton McGuinty was Premier Liberal staff went to jail over deleting emails.
Conservatives and @fordnation show zero respect for the law, completely ignore the law, and then rewrite the law to protect themselves.
Doug Ford is CORRUPT

#BREAKING: The Ford government just scheduled late-night sittings – until midnight – to ram through FOI changes.
Just when you thought this government couldn’t get any worse, they’re now scheduling late night sittings to quietly change the rules, hoping to keep Ontarians in the dark.
100 billion for a tunnel.
No money for OSAP.
10 million for strippers.
No money for healthcare.
29 million for a private jet.
No money for education.
THIS IS FISCAL CONSERVATISM.
Every time they are in office they rob us blind. Feather their little nests like Mike Harris did. Kickbacks, gifts, missing funds. It's not a one off. Mike Harris opened the door in Ontario to privatized long term care. When he left office he just "happened" to be made CEO of a long term care company and owns a few of his own. Andrew Scheer paid for his kids private education and a minivan from party funds until he was caught. Now Doug Ford is telling us we are broke while buying a private jet for his use. It's not a bug, it's a feature. The Conservatives will watch people suffer while enjoying their perks. The suffering only adds to their pleasure. @fordnation
The dishonest Ford Conservatives call themselves “the most transparent government in history.” Let’s look at just A FEW of their actions:
1. Rewriting FOI laws to shield Doug Ford’s phone records
2. Hiding hallway health care wait time data
3. Refusing to release Skills Development Fund scores
4. Won’t disclose the cost of their “Protect Ontario” ads
5. Ontario Place redevelopment “not fair, transparent, or accountable” per the AG
6. The entire Greenbelt scandal
7. Issuing MZOs without consulting appropriate groups and using developers with close ties to Ford and/or his friends.
I could go on and on. That’s not transparency. That’s a government who is out for themselves and their friends, not you. #onpoli
