@D_Grr@LickshotLippy Lifted the spirits flying back into London this morning to see so many fans arriving from all over, buzzing for the parade. We’ve suffered, now we celebrate.
Another thing people that analyze football through xG and possession numbers don’t seem to notice from yesterday’s game was that:
1. PSG left 4-5 players behind the ball when in possession at all times. They where setup conservatively because they knew Arsenal wanted to counter attack in transition. This would be called “defensive” if it was Arsenal.
2. PSG had to setup in a U shape like Arsenal does all the time against low blocks, because that one of the very few ways of getting past them. Of course, no complaints from the “experts” about their lack of central progression and use of zone 14 to “break the block” like we hear every week in the Premier League.
Arsenal won the same amount of games (45) as Chelsea (26) and Man Utd (19) TOGETHER this season.
Stop getting rattled by fan bases who spend their whole season watching Arsenal fight for every title while their teams where playing for nothing since November.
I want to thank the club and the players at the parade later. But one man that has stitched this fanbase together and given us mental peace all year, who I owe so much to, is my dear friend @HandofArsenal. You’ve cured my mental health.
