Yesterday, I was walking down a street when a woman suddenly stopped me.
She said, “Sir, one of your workers owes me ₦15,000. He stayed in our hotel and has refused to pay for months.”
Before I could even process it, she added something that shocked me:
“My boss already deducted the ₦15,000 from my ₦30,000 salary.”
See the shock on my face, in my mind, I'm like, people still earn ₦30,000 in this economy?
Half of her monthly income gone because someone else refused to be responsible.
I immediately called the worker to come over.
Plot twist?
This guy is a storekeeper earning ₦150,000 monthly.
When he arrived, I told him to send her the money immediately.
After the woman left, I sat him down and lecture him:
“How do you plan to succeed in life when you’re comfortable owing people?”
“Imagine earning ₦30,000 and someone’s irresponsibility removes ₦15,000 from it.
Do you think she’ll pray for you or curse you?”
I told him to go back and apologize properly.
Because success isn’t only about how much you earn it’s about integrity, responsibility, and discipline.
Some of you it's not your village people, it's your bad character, that's affecting your life.
If you owe people, pay them.
If you can’t yet, explain.
But never ghost.
Small irresponsibility today can block big blessings tomorrow.
