@sambillsc@kehlne@Marknit0 Nigeria has a surplus of people looking for jobs and employers exploit that. They’ll find someone that will happily pray in their morning prayers with ease.
@joaosphinx@kehlne@sambillsc@Marknit0 Can he prove that he was sacked because of that? The termination later would never state that he was sacked for that. I doubt the case would even make it to court.
@kehlne@sambillsc@Marknit0 I would never know for certain and I’m not justifying anything the company did. But resuming work on the first day to tell your employers that are most likely religious that you’ve deconstructed from Christianity doesn’t seem like the smartest thing to do.
@wahabind@Marknit0 Well I didn’t hire him. But a company that puts daily opening prayers into company schedule is probably owned by religious people who prefer members of their religion.
@sambillsc@Marknit0 My point is not really about wether he’s a Christian or not my point is that if he really wanted the job he could have handled it differently.
@temitopex_o@ThaBoyYom Like…. The first opportunity for people to know you and you’re telling them that whatever they believe in is nonsense. For naija for that matter. The work do am view once 😂😂😂
@Wizarab10 I don’t think you can sue them tho. The termination letter won’t state that you were terminated because of religion. They’ll give a bogus reason that they can defend. When you get a new job somewhere it is wise to calm down and know where you are
