For your Tuesday afternoon reading let’s bring back a fun story:

In 2021 I sent a Juan Soto 1st Bowman Auto to PSA that was selling for $3,500 at the time.

Instead of getting the Soto card back, PSA sent me ~$450 in Pokémon cards.

PSA tried reaching out to the person they believed got my soto but after a while he was not responding (probably because he realized my Soto was worth a lot more than his cards).

I still had the guys order sheet (because it was shipped to me with his Pokémon cards) so I decided to take things into my own hands and message him.

Weeks went by without a response but finally I said I was going to pursue some legal action against him (was really just trying to get a response).

Luckily (for some reason) he thought it was a good idea to send a pic of my card at a casino table; which ultimately gave PSA the evidence they needed to have him return the card.

A few weeks later the card was returned to me and the ordeal was done.

I love the message - “you wouldn’t win a legal battle against my family… but anyway I returned your cards.”

Flash-forward a year later I was on the other end of it.

In January of 2022 I sent in about 4k worth of bowman chrome cards and got back a PSA 9 Michael Jordan (which was selling for just under $30,000 at the time). There was also about 5k in other basketball/soccer cards in the order I was sent by mistake.

I did the right thing and returned the cards to the person who they were supposed to go to and he sent my cards back to me.

Ended up getting resolved the second time around in under a week.
