1 Squadron and 34 Squadron of RAF Regiment today were seen at the Falkland Islands checkpoint as there was a high threat warning due to the suspicion of a high number of insurgent forces. RAF Regiment did an excellent job at defending the islands.
Today, 28 Squadron of No2 Group RAF hosted their first AW109 pilot qualification selection in a long time. The AW109 is used for dominantly Royal Transport or is used for general transport. Only the best of the best can be selected to fly this 'elite' helicopter.
