Vincent Kompany spoke to Nathaniel Brown after the end of the season and explained his plans with him. For a long time, Kompany was fully relying on Alphonso Davies and saw no need for a significant reinforcement at left-back. However due to Davies' injuries, the coach changed his mind and decided that strengthening the position became a priority, which made Brown a top transfer target. Despite other inquiries from the likes of Arsenal and Real Madrid, Brown only wants to join Bayern. He wants to stay in Germany and sees playing under Kompany as an opportunity to develop further. As for Alphonso Davies, Bayern would be willing to listen to suitable offers for him this summer. The Canadian earns €15-20m gross per year and his contract runs through 2030. In case of a sale, Bayern expect a double digit million fee. Any potential deal is separate from the negotiations for Nathaniel Brown. Bayern are pushing hard to finalize the signing of Nathaniel Brown. Negotiations with Frankfurt are in full swing. Bayern are currently offering just over €50m. Frankfurt are demanding €65m. So there's still a gap to bridge. The fact is, though, that there's not only constructive dialogue, but the negotiations are already significantly more advanced and productive than last year's between Bayern and Stuttgart over Nick Woltemade

At the moment, an agreement seems likely. It remains to be seen whether the Brown transfer will be finalized before Germany's World Cup campaign begins or afterward. If an agreement is reached, the final arrangements would proceed smoothly. Bayern could arrange a medical in the US
