Anyone that wants more competitive balance and financial equity across baseball is vilified as cucking for billionaires, when they actually don’t give a fuck about their owner’s pockets and just want a level playing field.
@JacobsFieldRBW And he has proven numerous times he is capable of pitching deep into games. Giving up 3 runs over his last 2 games is a microscopic sample size. No way to know what he’d have done if they kept him in but (that’s not up to him) but if he 6, that’s a quality start. (2/2)
@JacobsFieldRBW Development isn’t linear. Rocchio had a career .222/.293/.327 slash through nearly 1,000 PA. Slade’s hard hit rate is improving since the development of his new cutter, there are plenty of fly ball pitchers who succeed in the league… (1/2)
@IzzoNunzio@JacobsFieldRBW Yeah, that is what I meant. We’re not even as strong as we could eventually be if/when those guys supplant guys like Festa, Dion and Heuer (though I do hope for the best for all of them, esp Dion and Heuer!)
@JacobsFieldRBW He has a 3.46 ERA / 2.68 FIP over his last 5 starts. He needs to get over the "3rd time through the order" hump but he's proven he's capable of that in the past (incl. 2 starts ago). He's 26 years old. It's not even June. Let's take a beat, shall we?
