Daniel Scribner is a young athlete worth watching. This past season, he played his first year on the freshman team at De La Salle High School, showing off his skills as a wide receiver. His Hudl profile features individual pass plays that highlight what he’s capable of:

Scribner is fast, has good hands, and runs routes well. His quarterback on the freshman team makes quick decisions, and when the ball comes his way, Scribner secures it. He’s got solid vision, and his team clearly works well together. He’s a confident team player, which shows in the trust his quarterback has in him. That communication is key, and it’s something to build on as he grows.
Even in his first year, Scribner displays exceptional skill and balance. He adjusts his body to the play, showing agility and awareness of both the ball and the defense. He stays calm and patient, even when things move fast, which is impressive for a freshman. His skills are already crisp and grounded, and with good coaching, they’ll only get sharper. More film should be coming this next season, and it’ll be worth checking out.

His athleticism stands out: a 4.46 shuttle, a 245-pound deadlift and squat, and a 29-inch standing vertical. Those numbers back up what you see on film—he’s got the tools to make plays.
As a receiver, his ball skills are top-notch. He can catch anything thrown his way, whether he’s in a zone or locked in man-to-man. On defense, he can bring a big hit when needed. This past season, he recorded 145 yards, 8 receptions, and a touchdown. He didn’t get as many chances as he might have wanted, but he still contributed by blocking well for his team.
