In San Diego: "New policies require [e-scooter] companies to use technology to alert users when they ride into illegal areas and to slow them down when needed."
Once again, I am asking why we do not do this for cars blocking bike lanes or sidewalks.

@NatBCo YAAASSS this is my favorite way to/from DCA! I may be biased, but I tend to opt for an ebike for speed and bigger basket. It's even better for the return home after you've been wearing a mask for hours and can get some fresh air! https://t.co/bAChUCLa7n
@willbramhill @MartinGossCol@communitydk1953 @RantyHighwayman MBTA (Boston) Silver Line SL3 BRT does this to get under Broadway in Chelsea. Controlled by a signal. Whole section is probably a few hundred feet. https://t.co/tk278LDOkr
@yfreemark Imagine if cars could detect when they were in a bike lane and angrily beep at the driver. Or had speed governors to enforce the speed limit. A boy can dream, yeah?
@cdempc All local streets, and if you want to reallocate space to cars you need to do a study to assess impacts on pedestrian level of service and then have 25 community meetings
