If you discard your friends everytime they disappoint you then you won’t have any friends left.
Sustaining friendships begins with understanding that people will disappoint you sooner or later.
What makes a friendship strong is how you overcome that period of disappointment.
How do Nigerians come up with the best insults ever ????? I saw a Nigerian mum say to her daughter ‘when it was raining common sense outside, you had an umbrella’
Like HOW does one even think of that 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I hate to sound like a Karen, I know times are hard and people are just trying to make ends meet. But I really don't love when my Uber delivery driver says it's a woman and a man turns up. Especially as a woman living alone. It's really not safe.
It really upsets me honestly. I just pray when I get to a position where someone would like to learn from me, that I don’t treat them how I have been. It’s just my God given ideas and a community that know nothing about the industry that have got me here!
Starting to realise the reason why I’ve had to figure a lot of things out for my fashion brand alone, is because rarely anyone is willing to fully help you. Even if they do it’s one time advice and nothing more.
People complain that all people want to do is take when “networking” or reaching out to someone on a higher scale but really and truly some people just need help and don’t always have something to give in return. Why can’t we help because we see a brother or sister in need gosh.
I honestly just want to go out and have a laugh. Last time I recalled having a chill fun day was like February. It was also short lived. Nobody is fun anymore
My ex threatened to leave me if I invested more time into my business… well …..
Cancelled the baecation, gave my life to Christ and I’m hosting a fashion show instead 🤍😊 https://t.co/VW3RtZkypo
