Your question is confusing to at least a 3rd of the country. Trump is behaving and doing all the things we knew he would do. He's doing many things he literally said he would do for years.

Things you stubbornly ignored, pretended not to hear, or told us that we were crazy for listening and taking him seriously.

None of us are wondering what happened to Trump. Trump happened. The much bigger question we all have is- what the fuck happened to YOU? We've sat here bewildered that his cult level crap worked on you. And he wasn't even good at it. He barely tried. We saw it from the jump and said "not today, Satan" Yet you guys walked full force into bigoted hateful country destroying totalitarianism as if he was Jesus himself.

We all understood Trump. We've understood him for over a decade. We won't be staying up nights trying to figure him out. What we WILL be puzzling over for years to come is how so many Americans that we thought were our brothers and sisters fell for such an obvious dumb con job. How our family and friends that we always thought were smart and kind were suddenly this dumb and cruel. You think we treat you with disdain because we hate you. That isn't the case. We treat you this way because we thought you were smarter than that. We're just very incredibly disappointed. You/we/us were supposed to be better and smarter than this. A judge in North Dakota has finalized a ruling that says the environmental group Greenpeace has to pay $345 million to Energy Transfer, the company behind the Dakota Access Pipeline.

This is a very steep penalty.

For context, Energy Transfer has a market cap worth $65 billion. They got their pipeline built and everything worked out for them.

Their pursuit of this case is meant to repress future action from environmentalists and to scare nonprofit organizations from providing any help to protesters.

Stories like this fly under the radar without any public discussions about the escalating power that corporations are gaining over activists.

It's only a matter of time until they turn their attention to individual users on social media and sue me or you by trying to claim our free speech and our characterization of events are considered "defamatory" or "harmful" to their revenue. They can never be satisfied until their domination over the public is absolute.

A forest or a river can't sue executives for misleading the masses on the negative externalities of their corporate quest for record-breaking profits, but these corporations can always sue the activists who put themselves out there and take risks to protect forests and rivers.

A political culture that once celebrated armed resistance to federal authority now largely supports aggressive immigration enforcement, even when it involves masked federal agents and fatal shootings.

This actually isn't the worst I've seen. I read last year about an app used to assign shifts to nurses and other healthcare professionals, which draws their credit score data from Experian, and then uses that to calculate how much to offer per shift.

Essentially, the lower the credit score, the more desperate to make money the nurse is deemed, and the lower the pay they are offered. I mean it is one thing to do this gamified capitalism bullshit to delivery drivers and Ubers, but it is another thing entirely to turn payment for lifesaving healthcare professionals into the Hunger Games.

And once I understood that capitalism has no safety rails and no adults in the room, and the animating philosophy of the rich white men behind it has not changed one single bit since they used to farm free labour and call human beings "property", I abandoned the idea of negotiating with it or reforming it.

It really is just a stupid system invented by white men who would happily turn off the sun if doing so would boost their Q3 EBITDA 15%.

The other day, this dude was stalking his girlfriend in York County Pennsylvania. The police were called & three officers were gunned down.

Just another white dude with a gun. It's been reported that at least 30 shots were fired. He also wounded 2 more officers at the farmhouse where his ex-girlfriend lived.

He was eventually killed in the exchange. But there has been little to no coverage on the killing. And you want to know why?

Because he doesn't fit the GOP's agenda. They can't use this for political purposes so it just becomes another gun death in America

There are many reasons why the left wouldn't want to murder Charlie Kirk. Hell, we thought it was entertaining to watch him go to various universities to debate students and get owned over and over. He looked like an idiot, it was fun to watch. Why would anyone want to kill him for that?

No one on the left wanted him murdered.
