#StopRacismInSchools
Never get desensitized from the #racism our Black students face in schools. I want to vomit seeing another report on the policing of #BlackGirls iin... https://t.co/dHGqAdZVET
@thel0rdbyr0n I have done that in the past. I’m in a new district... now I have to figure how to navigate this new space. But I always get into “good trouble.”
@thel0rdbyr0n The people who we have worked with are so stuck in their ways that students get in trouble for dumb stuff. How can I teach them to embrace who they are but they are harassed when they leave my room and they have very few advocates? I know we talk theory but what about practice?
@thel0rdbyr0n I have thought about this and discussed this with @AliciaD1908, my colleague. The challenge or the roadblocks we face working in a middle school are all the other people we work with. I feel like I hav to teach them to sell out or they will not survive.
